Yina & Norman are once again, my friends during my time at Stevenson University. They met during college and have been inseparable. So when I learn they are engaged, I asked if they want to do an engagement shoot, and of course, they said yes! And so, we are back at Stevenson University, but for a whole different experience compared to Jess & Matt's engagement shoot.
We started the engagement shoot at the original campus, aka Greenspring Campus or what used to be known as Villa Julie College. What I like about this campus compare to the "Main campus" is the campus has a sense of nostalgia. Campus is filled with greenery, shade, and feels like a whole different school. Calm and peaceful is how I'll describe it.
After a few shots, we switched to North Campus to grab photos at the Manning Academic Center. This building is where I had 90% of my undergraduate classes. It felt like being back at home. Guess the slogan, "SU is home," kind of fits the vibe for this shoot.
Oh fun fact: Yina and Norman first met at this building during a communication class. So I told them to reenact their first day of class and play the giant Jenga sitting in the hall and do a walk through memory lane.
In case you missed it, they had giant jenga pieces set up; they didn't have that back when we were students...
Anyway, we then finished off with the classic bridge shot because it's too good of a spot to not say no.
Thanks Yina & Norman for allowing me to capture your engagement photos and looking forward to photographing your wedding at the Liriodendron Mansion in Harford County, Maryland.
